Hatteland Display's state-of-the-art Series X 55" Ultra High Definition Chart & Planning Table has helped S3 Maritime to win the award for Best Technology Booth at the 2017 Seattle Boat Show.
S3 Maritime, a Seattle-based systems integrator for the yacht market was given the award based on its showcase of diverse technology from leading maritime electronics manufacturers and its own scalable Alarm and Monitoring System. However, special note was given to the Series X 55" Ultra High Definition Chart & Planning Table, which was a centrepiece of S3's booth at the Seattle Boat Show.
Looking like no other maritime display system available, the Series X 55" Ultra High Definition Chart & Planning Table certainly demands attention, and although it's more suited to commercial ships and superyachts than the average size yacht or motorboat, it certainly gained a lot of attention from the thousands of visitors to the US West Coast's largest boat show.
As Hatteland Display's flagship system, the Series X 55" Ultra High Definition Chart & Planning Table system is set to become the foundation for new approaches to ergonomics and user-friendliness on maritime bridges, supporting navigators to improve safety and voyage planning.
The concept of a large 4K resolution Chart & Planning table was born out of a realisation that maritime display technology evolution is vital to improving the effectiveness of modern bridge systems. As a 55" display, it provides the size needed to integrate multiple system data in a single display and crucially, the 4K resolution ensures that the data can be easily viewed under all conditions.
