New Display for the C4 Environment

The Combat Management, Command and Control environment, also known as C4 requires special approvals and highly reliable systems. We offer several products for the C4 environment including the just launched Naval Multi Display (NMD).

Hatteland Display's sophisticated new Naval Multi Display (NMD) is designed specifically for the extreme naval environment and is particularly suitable for use in Ops Rooms for Combat Management, Command and Control (C4).

The new NMD meets the requirements of MIL-S-901D, Grade A, Class I shock, eliminating the need for shock isolation in the rack or console, as well as Mil-Std-167-1, Mil-Std-461E, and Mil-Std-810F and has been designed as a drop in replacement for existing displays.

"We have supplied mission critical C4 solutions for navies worldwide so the new NMD is a natural progression of this work," says Lars Skjelbred-Eriksen, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Hatteland Display. "It has all the qualifications, it meets the specifications, it has added value, it benefits from our unique in-house technology such as optical bonding and it will integrate with existing systems as well as new systems."

The NMD utilises Hatteland Display's state-of-the-art bonding process to ensure picture clarity and to negate the effects of condensation and eliminate misting between the display's glass screen and the TFT module itself. The bonding process also provides better contrast, drastically reduced sunlight reflection and superior strength against impact.
