We at Jakob Hatteland Display have come off a successful 2005 where our production saw a good
increase on the previous year. We are forecasting further growth in our production in 2006
from 1k units per month to apprx 1.5k units.
As you'll understand managing this planned growth effectively is key and we'd like to share with
you the following points, for which we would appreciate your support, this will help us unlock
more flexibility in order to improve delivery times for orders.
1) Our production facility (Jakob Hatteland Assembly) is in the process of increasing capacity
to 1.500 units/month, through more production space and increasing staff numbers.
2) Key to managing this increased capacity is the need for stability and continuity through our
planning. To this end we propose to establish a 2 weekly planning process. Within each 2
week period we will be limiting short term adjustments to the plan in hand to a minimum,
and submiting any changes or adjustments to the subsequent planning session.
3) We would be grateful for your help in forecasting your requirements as early as possible,
and in particular placing your orders in advance of the required delivery by a reasonable time
margin if possible.
