Aksdal, Norway, 18 October 2019 – Hatteland Technologya company in the Embron Group, has received a breakthrough development contract with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KONGSBERG) for the delivery of MIL qualified panel computers.

The deal – which is for the development and delivery of 21.5inch and 32inch panel computers fully tested for military use – is Hatteland Technology’s first foray into the land-based military sector and an important new venture for the company. The progression of Hatteland Technology’s naval products to the ground segment is a natural step, owing to the company’s already established in-house and MIL qualified testing regime.

Reflecting its military supply chain credentials, Hatteland Technology currently provides displays, computers and panel computers to over 35 navies. The products are used on everything from aircraft carriers and destroyers to patrol boats and submarines. The company’s products deliver strategic and tactical advantages for a range of vessels, including UK submarines and Type 45 Destroyers, the US Navy’s Littoral Combat Ships and the US Coast Guard’s ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) program to name but a few.

We are both proud and delighted to be chosen as a partner to Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace for this development and delivery contract. It is very much in line with our strategic aims to further enhance our rugged solution capabilities and to introduce them into new segments. The company is ready for this exciting progression with KONGSBERG as our client.
