Next generation display technology for workboat bridges offers higher resolutions and new capabilities for multi-data integration

International Workboat Show 2017, New Orleans, 29 November 2017 - Hatteland Display, the leading global provider of display and computer solutions for professional maritime use is highlighting next generation bridge system technology for workboats in New Orleans this week. Visitors to its International Workboat Show booth (#1558) can see the unique Series X 55" Ultra High Definition Chart & Planning Table in action alongside a selection of Series X Generation 2 (G2) displays, designed to help bridge system integrators develop new, safer and more effective navigation and operational solutions.

Hatteland Display is also sharing its Workboat 2017 booth with fellow Embron Group company, Elektronix, enabling live demonstrations of its high-end camera technology interconnected with the latest computers and displays. The combination of Elektronix and Hatteland Display technology is highly relevant to workboats as it enables customers to source CCTV and displays from a single reliable supplier, ensuring a cost effective way to support improved safety and efficiency for on-deck workers in any conditions.

As the largest standalone, Type Approved 4K resolution display system for ECDIS and bridge applications, Hatteland Display's flagship system will be its Workboat 2017 centrepiece. Featuring the most screen space available in any maritime display, it enables technology developers to provide multi-data interfaces to ensure users have access to everything they need from diverse sensors and control systems all in one place. For workboats, the system can combine data and video feeds to provide a central place on the bridge for both vessel navigation and maneuvering, and operational tasks.

Available in sizes from 8'' to 55'', the portfolio offers complete flexibility, while Full HD resolution and premium panel technology deliver a crystal-clear picture regardless of display size.

"Workboats are a key market for Hatteland Display so we are looking forward to sharing our latest developments with owners and operators in New Orleans this year," said Trond K. Johannessen, President and CEO, Hatteland Display. "Considering the sheer diversity in the size, design and application of workboats its important for us to offer a flexible portfolio so systems integrators can design bridge solutions tailored to each and every vessel. On board, our systems provide easy access to the controls and sensor data needed by professional workboat crews to operate their vessels safely and efficiently."
