We have selected Furuno Norway to become the Series 2 distributor in Norway. Furuno is a well known systems integrator so is in an ideal position to sell and promote standard Series 2 products to end-users in our important home market. Hatteland Display will continue to deliver Series 2 to our OEM customer base, both here in Norway and throughout the world.
First Order through New Stocking Warehouse in USA
Wheelhouse Marketing is Hatteland Display's new stocking warehouse in the USA. The warehouse, which is ideally located in Ft. Lauderdale, within a few miles of some of the largest marine electronics installers in the US, will be used to fulfill urgent orders requested through the growing US dealer network. Wheelhouse is also set up as a service center for Hatteland Display products. The first order was recently completed through the new facility, and collected by local marine electronics dealer Jim McLaughlin of McLaughlin Marine Electronics, who drove over to collect it in person.
Happy Birthday Bonding!
October 3rd marked the completion of 2 years of bonded display production in the Optical Technology facility at our Nedre Vats, Norway headquarters. Bonding has become one of Hatteland Display's major assets in keeping our strong market position as it is a benefit that few direct competitors can offer in-house. The benefits of bonding are plain to see; less condensation, less overheating and improved sunlight viewing to name but a few.
New Environmental Test Chamber Installed
Our new environmental test chamber in Nedre Vats has been completed. This is a big investment for Hatteland Display, which will help us save time and money in the future, but will also enable us to improve the quality of our products even further. Week 41 we finished installing our new environmental test chamber in Nedre Vats. It can be found in the storehouse next to the service department and will be used by both T&S and R&D for proto-testing, burn-in and research.
The test chamber will be operated by 6 people, who have been trained in using it.
This is a big investment for Hatteland Display, which will help us save time and money in the future, but will also enable us to improve the quality of our products even further.
