Series X - Maritime Panel Computers (MMC) and HT B22 Computer, BIOS update

Hatteland Display hereby informs about changes for the following model(s):
HD yyT21 yyC-yyY-yyyy
HT B22yy-yyy-yyy-yyyy

Notice: BIOS: Affects all models except for models with "Y" = R or K.
Does not affect HD 08T21 yyC-yyy-yyyy / HD 13T21 yyC-yyy-yyyy.

Customized models are ALSO affected by this Engineering Change Notification.

HD yyT21 yyC-yyY-yyyy

Effective from:

Gradual implementation from 1st of March 2016.
Existing Product Type Numbers remain unchanged.

Changes:

- New BIOS version: Solved issue with frozen units after change of boot device in BIOS menu.

Additional information:

The issue is described/identified as:
- BIOS crashes after change of settings for boot priority.
- MMC/Computer is freezing after configuring the BIOS to allow boot up from a USB memory stick.
- Screen frozen after BIOS saving.

Trigger of the issue: the issue occur when HDD/SSD is disconnected during change of boot device in BIOS menu, i.e. require manual action.
Issue is more likely to occur for units with removable diskbays where HDD/SSD is easily accessible.
The issue does not occur in normal operation.
