CHANGE(S) APPLIES FOR THE FOLLOWING HATTELAND DISPLAY® PRODUCT(S):
HD 24T21 xxx-xxx-xxxx
HD 26T21 xxx-xxx-xxxx
Firmware update is applicable for both 24 and 26 inch models. New Touch Screen Glass and Hardware Controller applies only for 24 inch models.

EFFECTIVE FROM:
The new firmware, controller and Touch Screen glass will be implemented in production and affects units manufactured after Mid September 2015 for 24 inch units, and 7th August 2015 for 26 inch units.

CHANGE(S):
- 24/26 inch Touch Screen Firmware (FW) updated.
- 24 inch Touch Screen Glass revised (no visual changes, see below for operational changes).
- 24 inch Touch Screen Controller Hardware changed to same type as for 26 inch (see below for operational changes).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The revised firmware allows the driver (PCT Touch Utility) to support and enable touch features for Microsoft Windows XP (WinXP) (Note: Multitouch is not supported in WinXP). Newer Microsoft Windows versions have native Multitouch support via system HID (Human Interface Device) drivers and does not need additional drivers to operate. Therefore, the attached documents and drivers are only suitable for WinXP systems. For Linux based operating system, please see attached documents to fully enable Multitouch.

The new Touch Screen glass and Hardware controller for 24 inch models have improved reporting speed, better and faster response from the touchscreen. Additionally the new glass and firmware now supports 10-finger support in Microsoft Windows 7 and above (as oppose to previous Multitouch with 2-finger support).

Both new solutions have been tested thoroughly. Users which are already running Microsoft Windows 7 and above can continue to use HID drivers as before with no additional actions to be performed as result of this ECN.
